Hi again. I have another question. I've attached a sample page of my ELCAD project. I want to add signal names and signal comments for each DI/DO. Signal names and comments are in an excel file. How can I import it to ELCAD? Thanks for your help. Eine Antwort auf diesen Beitrag verfassen (mit Zitat/Zitat des Beitrags) IP |

I didn't use "import protocol", I used "Import PLC". I chose "S7" then insert the address of ".sdf" file. (Which I exported from symatic manager, Symbol table editor) Then ELCAD asked for a location for "error file". (I chose desktop) Then import process begins. There was no place to choose "field separator" and any other options. It seemed import ends successfully, because ELCAD shows my symbol table. But when I opened that "error file" I mentioned before, the message "Can not find field limitations." repeated for each row number. I think this shouldn't be a problem, because all symbols and their comments imported as well. Now my problem is, how can I show these symbols and comments on each DI/DO on project pages? Thank you. hi padfoot, if you have a plc list, it is even better. look in the online help for "transfer plc" and look in our iec demo projct. think about the configuration for the plc. ------------------ tschüss aus hannover bodo m Eine Antwort auf diesen Beitrag verfassen (mit Zitat/Zitat des Beitrags) IP |

Hi padfoot, that sounds good. Usually the symbols take the information from plc list and write they in the right fields of the symbol, when, and that is the biggest problem, all informations are correct. Important! Use the same Form, that mean, if you have in the list a adress e.g. with a space BTW . the "I" and the nr. (like in your pic above), then you must have it in the list too. If you have a ID in the plc list stucture, then use the same ID as in the Circuit diagram (e.g, -DI1). And i recomment to disable the 2. checkbox (Overwriting Assignment...), then with this optin in the worst case elcad will write the empty comment from symbol to your filled out plc list. Now i hope, the problem is solved. Good luck Andi Eine Antwort auf diesen Beitrag verfassen (mit Zitat/Zitat des Beitrags) IP |

Hi. I've imported my PLC file as this name: "S7-SymbolTable". ("View menu" -> Input/Output Components -> Right Click -> New -> ... -> "File menu" -> Import PLC -> S7 -> ...) Now, I should go to "Extras Menu" -> Options -> (User/Project) -> Assignment List. "Assignment List" section has 2 parts: 1: Assignment List Function >= 7.3 2: Assignment List Function < 7.3 (Like the picture that BODO_M uploaded: http://ww3.cad.de/foren/ubb/uploads/Bodo_M/plc_config.jpg) By default, the 2nd option (<7.3) is activated, and when I open "Designation" menu, My S7-SymbolTable is there. But when I select the first option (>=7.3), and open "Default Control" menu, that is empty. I don't know how to add my S7-SymbolTable to this menu. By the way, if I select <7.3 option then choose my S7-SymbolTable, nothing won't be displayed on DI/DOs... How can I use >=7.3 option and add my symbols in "Default Control" menu? Thank you.
